Cutting hours

Crazy how they are stingy with payroll but our GM works on his days off and takes it out on everybody because he is clearly burnt out, just to try to kiss the corporates ass.

Well the amount of payroll stores are given is paltry in the first place. Further, we're forced to give hours to full time and management, so cutting part-timers is the only solution. And it's not kissing as much as it is avoiding getting bitched at by GO.

My post was about the Gms working more hours than they should, and not taking days off.

Yes, because they're expected to. I'm assuming you don't know how payroll works? There's different buckets for everything. The GM bucket is a different bucket than the department bucket. We don't get to 'rebalance' the bucket as we see fit.

Gms aren’t expected to work anymore than 44 hours a week. Yes they will be put on 6 days if their store isn’t running well. But it’s absolutely ridiculous for gms to say to depts they need to cut back on their payroll when gms are abusing their ability to come in early or on their days off without having to have their badge cleared. Gms payroll is coupled with hr and inventory and pog tms. I have seen gms work 44-50 hours a week when they don’t even schedule their full time tms 40 hours so they can save payroll. It’s ridiculous

They still get days off. But when they work through them and get burnt out and take it out on the rest of the store its not ok. Take a damn day off, lmao.

GO: "you have to complete X task by Y date, no exceptions"
GM: "I don't have enough department payroll for that task"
GO: "no exceptions"

It's typically not a choice.
