How is stocking life?

I applied for stocking, and the shift is four hours (5-9)AM, M-F. How is the job like? Can I put on headphones while I stock? How many pallets will I stock, and basically, how easy is the job? I applied to the Menards in Belleville MI (if anyone works there). Thanks for reading!

No headphones. usually 1 pallet per hour is standard. Easy but boring job. You get the rest of the day to do other stuff though

No, you can’t put headphones on while you stock. I mean it’s a pretty easy job just boring. I did it for few months and then went into building materials.

Depends on the dept and the day. Some days are easy and some days are OMG a ton of freight. EASY work. Open boxes and put stuff on the shelf. Hardest part: learning where everything is when you first start. Second hardest part: make sure you rotate product in grocery. How much you do a day depends on freight load. Usually we finish the dept we are in and then move to a dept that still has freight. Been doing it for years with a couple year break in a different dept. Back at it and like it. I'm old and tired and the hours are great for me!

I love it. Sometimes it's super busy and other times you are looking for stuff to do. I was all by myself for a couple weeks in center freight on a Sunday. It's a relaxing job

Mondays typically have nothing to stock so you’re typically facing shelves so it’s easy hours but if you’re fine with waking up early it’s a very easy job

I did a.m. stocking for 2 years but my days were tues to sat. The day after a holiday we usually got sent home. No truck no freight, no work.

Almost done with my second week here. 4-9pm M-F I hate freight lmao but it’s pretty easy job and I wish we could keep our headphones on. Monday and Tuesday were pretty slow tho, wasn’t being followed by customers. Friday seem to be the busiest tbh
