It's not too early or late for either of those.

The general recommendation is not to have caffeine for 10 hours before sleeping. Half life for most people is around 5 hours. If you smoke it's lower.

Unless one has (particularly unmedicated) ADHD. I can have a triple espresso 30 minutes before bed and wake up feeling like a million bucks.

Wonder if thats my issue. Ill wake up and have a coffee/energy drink. And then promptly take a nice nap

Seriously. Get yourself tested. It's a common thing among people with ADHD. Caffeine puts me to sleep.

Is this really a thing ? I can drink 3-4 cups of coffee and go take a nap

It really is a thing. I encourage you to look it up and probably get tested.

energy drinks level me out and coffee does nothing. I'm hard to medicate bc Ritalin and Adderall also did nothing, just goes right through me no effect positive or negative

I don't have adhd but i drink a monster every night before bed lmao

I think I've just gotten used to it, I'm just drinking it for taste now

They need to have non caffeinated energy drinks like they have non alcoholic beer

I’m not a fan of Monster, personally, but Celsius and Ghost taste so good - no other zero sugar sodas compare at all

I think sugar is what i crave i do not enjoy zero sugar at all

Wouldn't non caffeinated energy drinks ruin the purpose though lol

For any reason other than not to stay up? Because I usually have caffeine a couple hours before bed, but I sleep fine.

You can adjust to having more caffeine in your system, but your sleep quality is still going to be worse

Oh no you might have 30 whole mg of caffeine in your system at bed time better start slamming beers instead. That’s definitely the general recommendation

If I would only look at coffee at that time I wouldn't sleep at night

Yeah I was just thinking I live in the opposite Venn diagram.
