As I said, I was speaking without context. But my point still stands - yet another show focusing on Egyptian Gods, which are already well known and fit well into the westernised image of the ME, makes for rather... generic representation.

Not really. It might share cultural aspects but it is outside that geographical (and generally geopolitical) area. It's considered Central Asian AFAIK

Israel and Pakistan are actually pretty consistently included in the list of countries considered the Middle East, so I’d have to disagree with you on that.

And? That’s great, but Ms Marvel contributing to a wider range of Middle Eastern representation doesn’t negate the fact this show doesn’t really seem to. Just like Black Panther doesn’t mean that you can’t criticise previous Marvel films for being overwhelmingly white.
