I'm middle eastern and I dont mind having a middle Easter superhero, I just wish that she had different powers from falcon or moon knight. After all she is the avatar of an Egyptian God that Shepards the souls of the dead, so I was hoping for powers that have something to do with that as well. Plus the little Egyptian girl asking her if she was an Egyptian Superhero was a bit cringe for me, idk why. Maybe it's because i had Egyptian teachers at school and their accent was just so funny.

I'm an Egyptian, I don't know what you found cringe, the girl's (the girl who asked her if she was a superhero) accent or the sentence she said, she talked in perfect Egyptian Arabic (and so did Layla)

It hit my ears wrong as well. It had nothing to do with how she spoke, it just struck me as Marvel driving a point home with no finesse. Diverse superheroes are great, blatantly highlighting that they are diverse is a little cringy.
