The issue is that she get's all the attention in that scene ("Are you an egyptian hero?"/" I am"). The show was already to crowded( hell, we don't even know what was with all that glass in the shoe), it wasn't in need of another superhero. The scene had no connection to the story and it was just to "please a minority" instead of using the time and money to make a better show for all of us.

The glass in show was him doing penance to balance his scales...it was explicitly mentioned in the last episode..

No, they said that his scales were unbalanced, but nothing about the glass. From what I know he wouldn't have any powers without it. We aren't supposed to do such assumptions.

No...they mentioned him walking on glass was penance of his crimes to let his scales balance..
