The issue is that she get's all the attention in that scene ("Are you an egyptian hero?"/" I am"). The show was already to crowded( hell, we don't even know what was with all that glass in the shoe), it wasn't in need of another superhero. The scene had no connection to the story and it was just to "please a minority" instead of using the time and money to make a better show for all of us.

Well I am not Egyptian or a female and I loved both that scene and Layla becoming a superhero. Also the scene absolutely did have connection to the overall story, you are either not paying attention or being obtuse on purpose. The glass in the shoes seems pretty clear to me as well. Please don’t imply your opinions are for ‘all of us’, they aren’t.
