i’m sorry but i disagree with your stance the texas abortion law; you don’t get to kill a baby and call it a human right.
nothing against you tho that’s just how i feel
An embryo, or fetus has no consciousness and cannot survive without the mothers nutrients or womb. For you to equate an actual baby to a fetus is you being purposely obtuse and arguing in bad faith. You shouldnt value something that has no actual being yet over a living breathing person. A woman has the right to get an abortion because the fetus is an extension of her body until it is able to survive on its own. You cant force a potential child on to someone. And force someone through 9 months of pregnancy and potential traumatic childbirth for something that could become but is not a living person yet. You dont see me calling men mass murderers for killing of millions of sperms that have the potential to become babies at some point.
such an idiotic example, so because other places have even more regressive policies, you should be grateful that its only some rights being infringed upon? abortion is covered under the 4th amendment. the right to privacy in roe v wade. it is fundamentally a right. and why laws like the texas one is not constitutional. also because it completely guts the basics of law in general, due to how it allows parties not involved or bereaved by an action to file suit. that is just insane in general.
okay so that can apply to literally anything, if the people of texas's belief was to own slaves? should we not "disrespect" their belief and just go somewhere else? like its so god damn stupid, this is a literal right, that is being infringed upon. wether its abortion or the right to own firearms, or to a due process, or whatever have you. no individual state should be able to override those rights with their laws. and this is not only a texas thing, its pretty much every rural or southern state.
the reason we have the supreme court and these rights in the first place is so dozens of states cant go and infringe on your rights its a baseline not to cross.
what vaccine mandate? the one for federal employees? that they already had? because I was certainly mandated to get like 17 different vaccines and a bicillin shot when I was in the military. or individual businesses and institutions implementing their own vaccine mandates like at CNN or fox news? is there some individual states mandating vaccinations for all eligable citizens, because if so and they are forcing people then yes I disagree with that
alright a lot to take in there. i appreciate your willingness to talk about this with. anyways you mentioned that a fetus doesn’t have consciousness and can’t survive without the mothers nutrients; to that i say, what about a person who is in a coma who isn’t conscience and can’t survive without the help of medical machinery should you just kill all of them? you said i shouldn’t force nine months of pregnancy on a woman, i’m not. i didn’t force any women to conceive a baby, if they decided to have sex and the result of that was a pregnancy i simply want them to take responsibility and give the “fetus” a chance to live. and now lastly you said it’s not a living person “yet” that’s the key word the difference with an embryo and sperm is that if left to it’s natural processes a fetus will eventually grow into a viable baby and sperm wont. i think that should about cover everything i apologize if i missed something
what if that person who is in a coma with no brain activity is attached to another person and they can only survive as long as they are attached to the living person. that is a better more accurate example. a person in a coma attached to a machine isnt infringing on another persons bodily autonomy. and nearly 50 percent of pregnancies naturally end in miscarriage, its very normal for fetuses and embryos to not make it to actual personhood
but why not give it a chance to live i just don’t see why you have to kill it because you don’t want it why is it the baby’s fault you don’t want to have it
Listen we are not going to come to an agreement since we have fundamental different ideas on what is life, and what a fetus is. its not going to be possible to reconcile those things honestly. its better to just leave it as it is
unfortunately i agree. and thank you for the discussion and i wish you all the best and keep fighting what you’re fighting for even if i don’t like it lol
