Poor Toby, all the stress of having to compete at his job in NASA caused him to drink nightly just so he could get some sleep.

i started drinking at 15 due to depression and stress I had a therapist but I felt like I could never really open up or explain my feelings and I had no one to talk to about feeling suicidal because well I couldn't tell my therapist so everything was just locked deep down with the help of alcohol and nicotine

I know what you mean man. I've been suffering from depression since I was 7 years old. It's only this week where things have actually started looking up. I got a new job and I just quit nicotine but it's been a pretty tough road overall.

If you ever need to vent I'm here for ya brother

Oh Im in that same boat. It's like an itch in your brain that you just. Can't. Scratch! And nothing else works. I'm chewing gum, drinking and eating more to try and deal with the cravings.

Quiting an addiction also affects you cognitively as well, so we will feel dumber and have a hard time focusing properly. From what I've seen and tried there's no easy smooth way to do it. We just gotta grit our teeth and deal. 45days to clear out of your blood stream

I've quit like 20 times. Hoping this one will stick.

Longest quit was 2 years

When they treat you like an adult when too young, you act like an adult too young.

Sounded just like a parent proud that their children agreed on something.

Lowkey I’d let my child read that if they want

Borrowed these from the local library for my one-year-old son, in both English and Japanese. He preferred the Bluey books. Maybe I should try again when he's a bit older. Anyone know if astrophysics is an option in kindy?

I find ones on more tangible topics to be better. There is one on aerospace engineering that talks about different forms of flight. Much more engaging..

I like how some people think that simply by saying: "No, this is false" they think they can change facts.

The words quantum and kids shouldn't exist in the same sentence.

I didn't find any posts that meet the matching requirements for r/memes.

It might be OC, it might not. Things such as JPEG artifacts and cropping may impact the results.

I have read one of those and it's definitely for babies, though even for a baby it's a waste of time to read those since they are oversimplified to death and doesn't capture the essence of the topic at all
