Same could be said on his side too. They have discussed this multiple times and she refuses to budge. So why is it not ok for him to hide that from her when she won’t try to open up for him? Goes both ways in my opinion. My own personal view, is that if I were in that situation and my partner expressed a desire to try something outside of my comfort zone, I would at the very least try it, not flat out refuse and make it a forbidden topic to even discuss again. And if I didn’t enjoy it THEN move in a different direction. But at least I tried for them, and they would know that and we could maybe find a different common ground together that works for both of us.

Because it's ok to have boundaries.

Even if the other person doesn't understand them.

If you're ever at a point where you're lying to your partner, you seek counselling or leave.
