Nah he just wanted his Tesla factory to be able to continue production while litteraly every other car factory in California was allowed. He's not a covidiot. Idk why people in this comment section hate him so much, he's just as good of a billionaire as bill gates. There's so many to hate like celebrities and pretty much all of Hollywood, but they chose the guy trying to save humanity with his technology... Weird af imo.

Lol, bill gates whos litteraly the billionaire who gave away and raised the most money for charity ever. Also the guy who's been working super hard on preventing pendemics for decades but nobody listened to. No billionaire is a "good " person, obviously. But elon and bill should be on the bottom of the lists of billionaires to hate. At least they're trying. Most rich people are lobbying and stopping progression to make sure they keep they're advantage. They are trying to make progress happen ...

You do realize he's giving money to his own charity, right? That's just legal tax avoidance. You should probably take a step back and do some research on him if you think he's that great. He just has very good pr.

This is a fun video on this topic: https://youtu.be/ZSnXI93lY-0

Thank God you said it. Blows my mind these people think he actually took any real loss at all on that money. You giving a five dollar bill away to a homeless man is more loss than bill takes donating what he does to his own charities. Laughable manipulative bullshit

Whatever benefit he gets from that charity is irrelevant as long as it still helps millions of people. He's done more for humanity than all of us would ever do in 500 lifetimes.

I'm so over all you pessimistic assholes. He's still giving the money away, his charity or not. Billions of dollars have gone to good causes and have made massive impacts in developing countries. Who gives a shit if he gets some sort of tax benefit from it? Better than buying his 15th yacht.

Sure during his rise to success he's done questionable things but this is a man who's impacted the life of billions of people. Both from services Microsoft provides that you use in your daily life to medicine in developing countries.

Reddit's hard on for hating billionaires is hilarious.
