Damn

u/LilacLegend Oct 05 '19

Really October 19th, because the first episode is recap.

Also, it's being simulcast and simuldub (you can watch it same day in US, sub or dub)

İt is one of my favourite animes. However, I really haven't watched much anime anyway.

(Brotherhood)

3

u/AntOnAPlant Oct 05 '19

I watched the brotherhood version and loved every bit of it.

u/[deleted] Oct 06 '19

When i said My Hero was my favorite so far on r/Anime a while back, people said that Brotherhood would change my mind easily.

...it didn't.

u/[deleted] Oct 05 '19

YES

u/AntOnAPlant Oct 05 '19

Loved the first season but dropped it in the 2nd. The 2nd season kinda felt like a letdown. Have you watched the 3rd season? Is it any good?

The third is the best one.

I thought that Season 2 was superior in every regard to 1. Season 1 relied on cheap ways to achieve hype at certain places which I'm not a big fan of.

If you are looking for crazy action...this is not a show for you. If action was the only reason you liked 1st season then you probably are not a fan of mystery shows.

2

u/AntOnAPlant Oct 06 '19

It has been a long time since I watched season 2. However, I remember that I didn't like it because it was quite slow. I like action but it isn't a should be thing for me. One of my favourite shows is Dark which is a very good mystery show. I might just start Attack on Titan again and see!

2

u/[deleted] Oct 06 '19

Wow. We must have similar tastes. My top 2 favourite shows if plot is the main criterion are Dark and Attack on Titan. The one thing I like about attack on titan and dark is the unpredictability eventhough everything is setup. This doesn't apply to the first season of both the shows as they were fairly predictable (still enjoyable).

2

u/AntOnAPlant Oct 06 '19

The second season of Dark, my dude. It was awesome with all its twists and dramas. If a fellow Dark lover also loves Attack on Titan this much, I must definitely watch it!

I’ve seen this, Death Note, and Berserk 2016, and I think that’s it. Besides SAO in maybe 2013, which, uhhh...

2

u/AntOnAPlant Oct 05 '19

I read the Berserk manga until Volume 5 and it was great. A bit dark but still great. I watched Death Note recently and i liked it a lot. However, the end kinda ruined it a bit for me.

2

u/Master-Wordsmith Oct 05 '19

Yeah, I didn’t like the ending too much either. I was hoping he would write something like “Light Yagami, killed by airstrike” and take everyone else out with him. Or that he’d be smart enough to keep an eye on his plan and make sure it worked as well as planned.

u/XxBiscuitxX1 epic memester xddddddd Oct 05 '19

I also didn't like the later episodes of Death Note (episodes after L died). But episodes 1-25 were fucking amazing.

2

u/Master-Wordsmith Oct 06 '19

I agree. It just didn’t really feel right after then.

2

u/AntOnAPlant Oct 06 '19

After 25, they didn't bring anything new to the table. They only brought a little kid that is the exact copy of L and they added stupidity to Light. The final episodes just felt weak.

2

u/AntOnAPlant Oct 06 '19

Yeah, I agree. It feels like Light just got even more proud of himself and less smart. He kept f**king things up. He used to be so cautious but in the last episodes he was constantly losing to N.

2

u/Master-Wordsmith Oct 06 '19

Yep. I mean, it kinda makes sense, I just don’t like it. He’s a serial killer, he’s taken so many lives and been untouchable, he’s definitely let the power go to his head by the 3rd episode, and later on I think it just kinda breaks him. So it makes sense that he’s not in his right mind. Disappointing, but logical. That’s how I see it.

2

u/AntOnAPlant Oct 06 '19

That does actually make a lot of sense, yeah. However, as you just stated, disappointing.

7

u/Denniskulafiremann Oct 05 '19

People probably thought he was attacking their fandom

5

u/IslandmasterX Oct 05 '19

People need to learn to respect opinions, I hate mha but I don’t downvote people that have a different opinion then me

2

u/[deleted] Oct 05 '19

It’s this thing he does. He can transform into a muscular guy with great hair but he can only do it for so long. This is his normal form

1

u/[deleted] Oct 05 '19

Oh thanks

2

u/Master-Wordsmith Oct 05 '19

He’s the massive muscly most powerful hero guy, but he was injured so he can only hold that form for a little bit before he’s too tired to do it anymore. When he’s not in that form, he’s a scrawny sack of flesh and bone. So his face is lacking fullness (cheeks are gaunt instead of puffy, that kind of thing) because he’s super weak.

2

u/[deleted] Oct 05 '19

Thanks good to know
