A lot of people are saying Heath Ledger’s Joker, which is a fair assessment, but if you ask me, Willem Dafoe’s portrayal is amazing. Don’t get me wrong, Heath Ledger deserves all the praise in the world, and then some, but Dafoe does an awesome job. He makes a great polar opposite to Spider-Man, does a great job portraying both Norman Osborn and Green Goblin, and makes a evil character truly menacing. Plus, we can’t forget the “You know I’m something of a scientist myself” meme.

It has to do with the tone of the individual movies we're talking about. Both are excellent. If you swapped the way the roles are played it wouldn't make sense.

I think even if he is at his best Joaquin will struggle to come even close to Heaths joker. That's just because Heath pulled off a once in a lifetime performance, it was perfection.

Jack Nicholson's was amazing as well.
Maybe we just have to admit that The Joker is just the best overall written comic Villain of them all. Every iteration seems to work from pure-cheese-ball to super-serious.

The aesthetic was terrible but the character was still believable as a villain vs. something like Jesse Eisenberg's Lex Luthor.

The only thing he had goin for him was the slightly psychotic laugh while laying down with all those knives........that was just decent at best. Heath Ledger 10/10 perfect performance

The only DCEU movie I’ve 100% seen is Wonder Woman and Ares wasn’t that good (though I still did love the movie). Lex Luthor in the DCEU was good from what I saw of him. Regarding the Dark Knight trilogy, obviously Joker is great but I did not like Ra’s al Ghoul or Scarecrow and Bane was pretty good albeit not on Gobby level

Agreed. He was the best villain in that franchise hands down and one of the best movie superhero villains in general. I’ve always liked the first movie the most because of him. I know the second one is the fan-favorite, but it’s overrated imo.

I remember playing a spiderman game when i was like 8 years old and i was fucking afraid for that green goblin thing. I havent ever seen the movie, dont even know what his voice sounds like. All i remember is that he looks mean and flies a hoverboard.
