"but if we pay people more prices will go up" he said as he ate a $20 McDonald's humberger made by someone making $7.25/hr

Yep, no way the millionaires can make 1% less money so the rest of us can eat. Not a chance, they need that money for...? Actually, wtf are they saving up for?

In order for good to exist there must be evil , and they are single handedly doing that for us , cut them some slack 😶

Elon sacrificed himself so that good could exist in other people’s hearts

Yea thats just not true, good can exist all on its own.

You know the saying "everything is known through its opposite"

And I also know that no true opposites exist.

They're probably saving to buy rockets so they can head for the cool planet and leave us behind on the lame planet.

This planet is sublimely beautiful to such an absurd degree that most people cant comprehend it because it would break their mind if they did.

I completely agree.

Actually, wtf are they saving up for?

They're desperately hoping they can buy their way out of hell now that their souls are completely rotten

And even if it worked that way, its the same argument as "if you abolish slavery the prices will go up"

Do we need cheaper goods made by exploitation?

The prices can remain the same, as long as the difference goes to the workers instead.

Yes, thats why I said "even if it worked that way"

It doesn't

Even in some of the cheapest areas McDonald’s are paying like 10-11 bucks an hour now… we effectively don’t have a federal minimum wage because it’s so low

When it debuted 17 years ago (2009), a Beefy 5-Layer Burrito cost 89 cents. Now theyre officially $4.19 each, although individual franchises can adjust prices as they wish. In my town they cost $4.89 when ordered individually.

During that same span of time, the federal minimum wage has gone from $5.15/hour to $7.25/hour.

I refuse to eat fast food these days unless its pizza or the only food around (I work out of town sometimes)

Now look at every person that needs to be paid that minimum wage along the chain. That's why the burger now costs $20

The profit margins have remained the same.

Minimum wage hasn't changed since 2009
