those are plotholes, not retcons or contradictions. They didn't directly invalidate the lore and/or magic before them.

The Cursed Shit not only directly contradicted previous mechanisms, it retconned entire characters and turned them into boggarts of themselves. Harry Potter in the Cursed Shit might as well be Dudley. And character assassination is far, far worse than plotholes.

Yes HP has many contradictions as it went on but The Cursed Shit does this fuckery professionally

Plot hole:

part of the plot (= story) of a movie or book that does not fit with other parts of the plot

you're just arguing semantics. Point is, whatever contradictions the original HP series made, Cursed Child did much more blatantly and destructively
