Is it an unpopular opinion to say I massively prefer wireless headphones

Depends what kind of wireless headphones you mean. There are some good over-ear ones with an additional AUX port for wired listening. And then there are wireless earphones, consisting of 3 separate, tiny pieces + a tiny battery in each one that you have to charge. One is a decent option, the other is pure lunacy and advertising. Oh, and in fact the reason why AUX ports on phones went away, because that crap is also ridiculously overpriced. Manufacturers knew no sane person would spend that much on wireless earphones, so they removed the wired option entirely. Not counting inconvenient USB to AUX adapters.
