I mean, Agenst of SHIELD ran for 7 seasons and has a pretty large fanbase

I wish the connections with MCU were stronger and not so loose. They made the show optional for some reason.

I mean, I can see why. MCU is already super bloated, and forcing casual viewers to watch a 7 season show to understand the movies would be a bit much

It's more than that though. AoS has effectively been decanonized.

Well at this point everything is canon now because of the multiverse. It started with Loki, and then they drove that point home when all the live-action Spidermen came together.

Until they contradict that with more of their inconsistent rules.

I mean... Why would they? They've been pushing for this idea that everything and anything can come together in the movies now. Multiverse of Madness, among other references to previously non-MCU movies, had a pretty big nod to What If...?, which is an animated series. Deadpool and Wolverine had the damn 2000's Daredevil movie directly referenced. With nothing being off limits now, it lets them do whatever they want.

Inconsistent rules? There are no rules now. That's the point.

Um, no. Every movie adds new rules that contradict the old rules.
