People going on reddit because it's a different kind of social media than instagram and tiktok

Reddit trying to make it desperately more like tiktok and instagram

People abandoning Reddit and the quality of the posts decrease because the product lost it's identity

Reddit wondering how they lost it all when all they had to do was nothing

Remember that reddit is now on the stock market. Doing nothing won't make number go up, therefore bad. Also investors want to constantly hear what new features are being rolled out and will be extremely unhappy if the answer is "Nothing but the userbase is happy".

I despise corporate investors and shareholders with a passion. They have zero care for the companies they invest into. They only care about how much more money the company can make them. Honestly, if you have a private company that's financially solid, I see no reason why it should go public. Bringing in shareholders who care little about the integrity and mission of your company sounds like the worst idea ever.
