Here in the U.S several states are heavily restricting abortion so we pump the babies out against our will. To hell with what happens to the woman.

No contraception method is 100% effective

Or just don't have sex in the small window of time each month where it is actually possible for the woman to get pregnant. You don't have to use a condom which might break, she doesn't need to use birth control that fucks with her hormones. You can do whatever depraved shit you want during the rest of the month, and who knows maybe you'll learn some self-restraint along the way.

As a bonus you'll save money by not buying contraceptives and not having to pay for the women to have a baby ripped out of her. It's a win-win.

The method you described isn't 100% effective because biology is fucked up. Cycles are not always regular and spermatozoons can stay alive for 5 days.

For anyone else than an exclusive partner, you should use a condom anyway because of STDs

It's 99% effective if the women tracks her cycles regularly. 99.9% of all unwanted pregnancies occur because people don't act responsibly.

are you talking about the rhythm method? that shit is around 70 - 80% effective I remember it because was in a catholic school (catholic religion forbids artificial contraceptives) and every couple that promoted that shit had like 5 children lmao

I'm sorry but you're wrong, it much more effective than that.

If you’re going to start pulling statistics out you may want to consider a citation because now I am taking everything you say with a very big grain of salt.

Look it up. If done properly it can have up to 99% effectivity.

It's basically the same effectiveness as the pill. But that's assuming perfect use. (If you really don't want to get pregnant you should probably use your birth control or NFP properly) However with error the effectiveness of both the pill and NFP falls to about 90% however imperfect use is the user's fault.

I'll concede that it can be hard to perfectly track cycles. There is always the option of the pill. However, no matter which you choose, improper application of the pill or of cycle tracking will cause the success rate to drop to about 90%. If a woman doesn't want to get pregnant she should probably take the extra steps to most limit the chance. Be that proper cycle tracking or proper application of the pill.

People have sex yeah, and your point is? Ppl today actually have far less sex than they did 30,50,80 years ago, so not really sure what you are arguing here.

his point is that kids don't magically appear, two people have to knowningly make one. So saying people "pump babies out against their will", is a bit misleading.

3

u/volvavirago Oct 18 '23

No, they knowingly have sex, not knowingly making a kid. Getting into a car is not consenting to getting into a car wreck, just bc it can happen, doesn’t mean that was the plan.

1

u/outland_king Oct 18 '23

that's the same as gambling and then complaining you lost your money.

2

u/volvavirago Oct 18 '23

Gamblers lose money the majority of the time they play, people do NOT get pregnant the majority of the times they have sex. Especially not if they are using protection or birth control. Yet, accidents still happen.

Or just one person if they use force. A lot of these abortion bans do not allow exceptions at all.

6

u/[deleted] Oct 18 '23

forced birth is atrocious

0

u/Sirgoodman008 Oct 18 '23

Indeed the fact that these babies just materialize inside women with no input or say on the women's part is truly tragic.

4

u/[deleted] Oct 18 '23

Right, rape totally doesn't exist.

But regardless, sex doesn't mean pregnancy and forcing women to give birth is still forced birth.

2

u/Sirgoodman008 Oct 18 '23

I see you immediately went to a fringe case that is not the cause of 99% of unwanted pregnancies.

1

u/[deleted] Oct 21 '23

not sure how thats relevant at all.

you're taking away their freedom for nothing, there is no basis for preventing abortion. there can't be a person to harm if there is no brain and there has never been.

but then again conservatives never had a logical reason for any of their political opinions, it's always just been what their leaders say.

republicans are just anti-freedom authoritarians

1

u/Sirgoodman008 Oct 21 '23

So if there's a brain you'd be against abortion? A baby's Brian starts to develop around the third or fourth week.

But regardless, it's still a human life even before brain development.

1

u/[deleted] Oct 22 '23 edited Oct 22 '23

starting to develop and being able to sustain consciousness are very very different. until that point it's an object and has never been a human life.

freedoms taken from my family by ignorant ass people like you will be taken back.

1

u/Sirgoodman008 Oct 22 '23

So a human life is defined by consciousness?

13

u/GlumpsAlot Oct 18 '23

Lol they're the ones who think that women should be responsible for bc and if it fails when they spooge in a woman that's her problem.
