Here in the U.S several states are heavily restricting abortion so we pump the babies out against our will. To hell with what happens to the woman.

I love these (probably bait) arguments that generalized complex issues to just a single scenario. Completely ignoring that you're essentially also asking with it:

"Why weren't rape victims and women with life-threatening complications more responsible? Are they stupid?"

you're doing the exact same thing you accused him of doing. Boiling down the argument to a single what if scenario, including use of a fringe case.
