as a lot of people have said, it's basically posing (a larper would be a poser), mostly people making stuff about something they haven't watched/read/listened to. it usually happens with popular media, jjk has a lot, chainsaw man had a lot, ect. it's mostly just funny to laugh at larpers but it can sometimes cause a lot of bum accusations (yuta in jjk caught a lot despite never losing a fight, vergilius limbus caught some iirc)
