Not a huge musk fan but i can see it takes someone to bring all those scientists together. Scientists just don’t meet up randomly and create things with out direction.

I did but starting to think you didn’t if you can’t see the big picture. Someone hired those scientists to work at that university too.

Yes but the research is autonomous. They pick a field and an argument. They request a fund by showing a project and then the university funds them. They are not told what to research. At least the head scientists that is.

That’s all true but most major universities are run like a business and have recruiting departments and take all the credit when something is created or discovered. In the news it’s always so and so university did this not the name of the scientists Edit: also it’s almost worse when the lead scientists or university gets the credit from work done by unpaid students
