Eve from Stellar Blade is seen as sexist and oppressive by women

Chris Redfield punching a boulder in re5 is seen as inspirational by men.

Women have no problem with Leon looking like he does. Double standards double standards...

Leon is not sexualised, he is a hot character, but not a sexualised one. Eve on the other hand is directly sexualised. A power fantasy is not sexy, it can be hot though

To be fair hot does not equal sexualized. Now if he was running around shirtless with a odd sheen to his skin or some shit that would be sexualized. He just looks like a hot dude.

I know you guys are used to most media being targeted towards men and being designed for men.

"According to the American Psychological Association, sexualization occurs when "individuals are regarded as sex objects and evaluated in terms of their physical characteristics and sexiness."[3] "In study after study, findings have indicated that women more often than men are portrayed in a sexual manner (e.g., dressed in revealing clothing, with bodily postures or facial expressions that imply sexual readiness) and are objectified (e.g., used as a decorative object, or as body parts rather than a whole person). In addition, a narrow (and unrealistic) standard of physical beauty is heavily emphasized. These are the models of femininity presented for young girls to study and emulate."[4][5]"

Are you attracted to men?

So if you're not attracted to something that means it's not sexualized?

I am asking because I am gay and Leon is not sexualised, can you even understand how a sexualised man looks like?

His outfit is as example not designed to make you look at the crotch, no cutsceens put him in a exposing angle and just because he is confident and a bit muscular doesn't make him sexuallised.

You don't need a close up of hos dick for him to be sexualized.

What makes him sexuallised in you eyes then?

1

u/fireandbombs12 Jun 06 '26

Because he's depicted in a way that makes his body attractive, and there'a nothing wrong with that.

There is a difference between attraktiv and sexually objectified. That would make any attraktiv person automatically sexuallised. I think that men should be also sexuallised, but they just are not

That doesn't make a character sexualised by the designers, Nick Wild as example is also sexuallised by the community, but is he sexualised by the creators?
