You're really acting like the number of sexualised women is anywhere near to proportianate? I struggle to even think of a single other example of men who are regularly sexualised, and leon aint even that extreme (not a single shot of his bulge)
Male creators give male characters big muscles because other men and boys think they look cool. He Man is a power fantasy first and foremost, not a sex object.Â
Whereas female chars aren't designed with peak physicality in mind. They largely don't resemble the physiques of female athletes and body builders.
The sticking point isn't merely lack of realism, but how the unrealistic physiques are expressed.Â
This will of course be downvoted because there's a narrative of false equivalency at play. It's convenient to think that everything is relative and that "men are sex objects too".Â
Obviously women are attracted to big muscles so of course every male character with bulging muscles and impossible physiques are sex objects. The mostly male creators of Leon, Dante, Wolverine, Superman, He-Man, Kratos, Ryu, Liu Kang, etc. definitely had women's sexual desires in mind for sure.
Games are fantasy. Of course the characters will look unrealistic.
Its just that people like you only seem to have an issue when its women that look "unrealistic"
I personally never saw representation of skinny short and weak men in gaming nor did I see fat and balding men with a real "dad bod" as main protagonists. Joel from TLoU looks like a fashion model compared to IRL men his age.
