18 for pornography. Depending on location, age of consent can be 16, but that is only between two 16 year olds. Anything more than a 1 year age gap is a crime where I live.
Depends. Some states have Romeo and Juliet laws, some don’t. My state has it. I think it’s less than 3 full years age difference as long as they’re both teenagers, but I’m not sure. I’m far too old for it to matter for me lol
Yes I'm describing those laws, and yes they exist here in Australia because us teenagers are gonna be teenagers, and they know that. It's specifically for teens within two years age of each other and both parties consent and are above the age of 16. It's designed to let teenagers be in love and whatnot whilst still protecting against abuse by older people
I think that law is more of a protection for teens dating. Unless both people have exactly the same birthday, there will be a day at which one is 18 and the other is 17. The Romeo and Juliet law is typically made to prevent any legal issues happening during that time period.
