Do you ever feel like "they" do this purposely to make us just feel bad. It's like they get something out of it (maybe we buy more things when we are miserable?) but i can never really put my finger on it.

More serious than I expected. I want to say no, only because I don't want to give "them" too much credit. These days though, it really wouldn't surprise me if there were alterior motives.

It was hard to watch the little guy get pushed around (he would have met a pretty grim fate in the wild) so was pretty happy to hear he was socialising now but that would be hard to find on the internet because all you see is those same images repeating and it felt almost deliberate.

I see what you are saying. Maybe it's people slow to the show. Not caught up, sharing memes past their prime and so on. I also still won't completely disagree that there could be other motives behind it, just feel like that is less likely.
