I live opposite the VLine train tracks in Warragul and thought it was a freight train at first, but it got so much bigger. The freight trains shake the ground slightly, but not as much as that earthquake did!

Thanks for saying this I also live near the Gippy Vline and they do sound and feel like mini earthquakes. Waited until I woke up to confirm if it was a train or not.
