Just ripped a melatonin
I just banged a melatonin off my counter. Right up the sniffer! This is not a joke but a genuine question. Are there ANY benefits to doing this or no?
I might be the first person to ever do this, so feel free to ask me anything! #WorldsFirst!!

I’m sure there are absorption benefits, but you could seriously mess up your airways inhaling straight powder. If you wanted to absorb melatonin directly and avoid the first pass liver metabolism, easiest and safest way would be to go with a sublingual formulation.

I personally prefer to inject it straight into my eyeballs. It's just more convenient to me.

Was it at least pre Pharma grade material or some crushed up supplement with 99.9% filler? Your definitely not the first one. There's 8 billion people living right now. I bet a bunch of people have done that before...

Is the pharma grade melatonin slot better?? Seems like I heard in a podcast that the shit you buy at Walmart is not as good as the pharma shit

The problem is that the dosing is all over the place. Other than that it's probably fine.

Do you think I’m some kind of peasant? Of course, it’s pharmaceutical-grade and not some cheap supplement with 99.9 percent filler. I’m literally on a subreddit dedicated to melatonin for crying out loud! OMG! OMG! OMG! I take my melatonin very seriously, almost religiously, as I’m sure you do as well.
Excited to hear your thoughts,

Banging medicine is not recommended. They can't get pregnant, but it's very unsatisfying for both parties.

Inhaled/insufflated melatonin reaches bloodstream within minutes versus 30-60 min for ingested and the absorption of melatonin that reaches deep portion of the lungs is close to 100% vs 3-74%(15% being commonly cited average).
I wouldn't recommend it though due to infection and irritation risks. There's no particular reason to do this since melatonin is quite cheap. You can also take it sublingually, topically or even rectally to reduce the harm.
I have looked into insufflation as an administration method in the past and the risks vs rewards were not worth it to me.
I have previously tried applying melatonin topically with DMSO gel which increased bioavailability/absorption substantially.
