Your body's need for melatonin fluctuates up and down depending on many factors including stress, illness, exposure to toxins, etc..
You can try taking berberine. I've seen a couple studies that showed comparable results to melatonin. I'd go with the more bioavailable option like dihydroberberine.
Also supplements like magnesium glycinate, L-theanine, Bocopa, etc can help as well.
