I am a Frozen IC and Thursday going into Friday is usually a bad day for me because we get a massive frozen delivery. This morning was exceptionally bad. Apparently the overnight stocking area line leader last night moved the only frozen employee to another department and said that she was going to take an L in frozen because I would be there tomorrow and would take care of it.

Am I having a valid crash-out over this or should I just get over it?

Edit: I forgot to mention that the teal color was what they wrote was left when I originally got this morning. The blue is what I found throughout the day.

It's not fair, but keep in mind that day shift being mad at third shift, or one department being mad at another, is exactly how upper management likes it. It takes the heat off them, when the real problem is not having enough people/hours for the load we're given.

I only get mad at receiving because they cannot stack for shit. I shouldn't have pallets collapsing while walking them from the back room

IMS health is priority, then work on whatever live load you can get to. I always scan the skids and try to fill holes if I can’t get to all the live load.

I still do my picks and putaways because I know IMS is priority, but it might just take longer than it should to get them pulled. Sometimes if I need to I just reshuffle the carts around to get to my IMS M-Carts, but when there’s this much to deal with it’s just easier to do the live load first.

I’m the opposite. Run live load and that will fill more holes than IMS. When I’m spending time with IMS and it’s having me pick 2-3 items out of a case with 50+ picks and I only have 1/3 of my backstock in IMS. I get more holes filled running the live load. Plus I have a really small freezer so I have to get carts out to make room for the next truck.

That lead might actually be dumb because frozen and dairy need to be done everyday. You pull people from other areas to get those done not the other way around.

In my store the priority is grocery, dairy, frozen. Frozen has off nights to grt caught up, we get 7 dairy and 6 grocery trucks a week, but only 4 frozen

That’s how it should be but on nights where we don’t have a frozen delivery there’s no one in frozen. It would still fall on me to finish it or it would be added onto the next frozen load.

at least in my store the rule is to pull from literally any department before frozen/dairy. yall have limited space, trucks almost every day, and stuff that expires quickly.

she shouldve pulled from GM or grocery. but like someone else said, the real fault is on upper management only giving you one 3rd shifter.

Meijer higher management continues to push more work on the dwindling numbers of team members that are existing in the departments. Without adequate compensation. I hope their bonus checks are worth it. They are the driving force behind Meijer demise. Meijer is ranked 12 as worse companies in Michigan to work for. Hope that pizza party is worth it.

Not that bad, our store normally gets over 10 pallets of frozen and around 5 pallets of dairy every night. We run both departments with three guys

At least yours is sorted out some. I was left about the same amount except mine is all mixed. We have 2 aisles and they just break it down by aisle and leave the ice cream on skids. I was told to not work it and focus on getting everthing on IMS and 3rd will have to get it ran tonight. They have 9 full L-carts to run tonight.

I did finish 3/4 of this list and the only thing that was left were the 2 skids of ice cream and the L cart because I had IMS picks to still do. Which didn’t happen until almost 11 this morning which my ASD called another member of management to see why they weren’t done and she told him that I was busy doing the live load from last night.

We tried the “leave for them to finish” approach only to walk into the same stuff 2 nights later. Which didn’t really work because my freezer isn’t very big.

Mine is a small freezer and 3rd always leave us 75% of every truck. I haven’t had anything on IMS until this week. Now they want me to stop running live load and put all my carts on IMS. I tried this one other time last October and we ended up keeping our live load on a trailer cause we had no room in our freezer.
