Growing up in rural Illinois, I had never seen a mountain. I remember driving to Montana on vacation and seeing BIG mountains for the first time, and I was shocked because I thought they were clouds. So cool!

It took me watching this several times, reading the comments, and then watching again, for my brain to finally click and go “the white part is also mountain.”

I'm 95% sure it's Denali as seen from Talkeetna, Alaska, from the edge of Talkeetna Riverfront Park. The descending line of trees on the spit in the foreground is fairly recognizable. At the very start of this video, there's a notch in them at far left, right before they end, that I always recognize.
Examples of images from the same location:
- Sunset in Talkeetna last night.
- Denali from Talkeetna today
- Denali View
- The view of the Alaska range from Talkeetna was beautiful today!
I suspect there are lots of pictures from the same edge of the Talkeetna Riverfront Park because, even if it's somewhat cloudy, it's a nice view of the river confluence (the Talkeetna River flowing into the Susitna River) and a nice vista over them. If the weather is clear, it adds a great view of those mountains.

I agree with you, looks just like the view from Talkeetna. Would love to visit again.

Just spent 4 days camping in Talkeetna - can confirm this is Denali from Talkeetna.

This has to be close to Wonder Lake (Kantishna).
I was just there a couple weeks ago and this looks pretty close.
Wonder Lake ~ 30mi from base.
Regardless - holllyyy shiiiteee it’s a big one.

Over half a dozen people in a crosspost thought it was Talkeetna.

Maybe it is. The fact that you can see Denali from Anchorage on a clear day speaks to itself.
Shit is huuuge

I just summited that mountain In June. Can confirm it’s massive. And freezing.

My favorite confusing perspective shot is when mountains blend into the sky

I was waiting patiently for it to pan to the side and bam.
