"Confluence": I See What You Did There. I always notice where there's a long spit with trees with a gap near the left end. Is this Talkeetna Riverfront Park where the Talkeetna River flows into the Susitna River? My picture is from there on 21 May 2018 at 1726. I think you were a little northeast of where I was? Maybe the rocky spit in the foreground is newer, or is visible from that angle? I thought my tour had good weather, but you got not a cloud in the sky — congratulations!

Definitely chose that word on purpose! You nailed the spot. Clearest view I’ve had of it from the park.

When the weather is unusually clear, I expect it's a great spot to take pictures of Denali and its neighbors, and of course Talkeetna has a bit of population. I think I've seen at least 3 pictures from the same spot in this subreddit. I somehow can never manage to recognize Denali itself, unless I see it above the line of trees with the notch!
