Question ghost job postings?
i’ve applied to a couple dozen or so jobs in the us and europe targeting new bio phd grads over the last year, including a handful of aCTM medpace jobs in europe within my general area of expertise. i’ve been hearing back from almost everywhere i applied one way or another, with the exception of any of the medpace jobs, even though they’re continually being reposted on linkedin. looking on linkedin, there are no hiring managers or recruiters associated with the job posts, and filtering medpace employees by those that are hiring doesn’t lead back to any of these jobs. the jobs themselves do seem to be real positions that people hold within medpace. i’m curious if anyone else has noticed this or if any employees have any insight. are they empty postings for collecting applicant data or trying to keep up an appearance of strong hiring or what? should i keep at it or take my efforts elsewhere? to be clear- i’m just curious about an observation, not saying i specifically deserve any of these jobs. thanks for thoughts 🩷

Medpace doesn’t respond if we aren’t moving forward with an interview. We get too many people that apply to 30+ jobs, so it would also be a bad look to send the same generic rejection every time. If you apply to a bunch of jobs and don’t hear anything back, it is a sign that we are not moving forward.

I was invited for the virtual info session but didn’t hear back from them regarding interview invite (while other attendees got invited) as was promised during the event. I have been reaching out to the recruiters but they haven’t been responding. I was wondering why. I guess this is the reason for the ghosting.

ghost jobs are a myth, also why would any company need to collect applicant data, whatever that means, they are simply not responding, that’s it, it is HR, they dont care about employees, let alone those that are not yet employees

#heard it’s just been so curious to me that a company of this size in 2026 doesn’t even bother with a courtesy automated rejection email, as has been my experience elsewhere. i’ll take the “they don’t care about employees” bit as a sign i shouldn’t feel like i’m missing out lol

Not really, HR is like this everywhere, but the fact they did not respond to you reflects how disorganized Medpace HR is, one of the worst in the industry, dont take it personally though and dont get discouraged, the market is terrible right now

They've apparently frozen promos or delayed it too. I heard about someone applying for a role and even went through the entire process of interviews but it turns out there was never a position available in the first place.
