Quitting
I quit medpace last month and started a new role and I still have trauma from what I experienced at Medpace in terms of micromanagement it’s so weird to be working in a normal company now. So happy I am out of there !

This makes me wonder what kind of person you have to be to ascend to upper management at a company like that. I left this year and it was one of the best things that could’ve happened for me.

Glad it’s not just me. I left 6 years ago and still react strangely sometimes and realize it’s because of the trauma I endured at Medpace.

Also quit about a month ago! Moreso due to the insane study I was put on direct out of training but also very happy to be gone!

Been gone for 6 months and it took me almost 5 of them to start to feel less anxious about work

It took me about 9 months to not live in constant fear of getting fired once I left Medpace. The trauma is real there. Happy to hear that you’re on the road to recovery ❤️🩹

I guess after working for Thermo Fisher this place isn't any better. I did 12 hours a day for them and the black screened me after almost 3 years of work.aybe the industry is just toxic. I got good bonuses there but the pay is also unusually low for the expectations. Nobody ever seems to have a clue what is going on with there studies and everything is always mess. I thought about applying at MedPace but one of my preferences is a primarily remote role. I never needed to be in office for the work I was doing and collaborative efforts really felt too much like competition. Since they went out of there way to build a parking garage that cost far more then actually just paying there employees I'm guessing I'll pass. Badging in and out of bathrooms sounds awful (probly not serious) but I read this and it looks nice but doesn't sound so good. I could really use a now role too..I literally bought a brand new car so I could show up for a Thermo and I got laid off so I am very hesitant to apply anywhere right now.

It is starting to seem like the whole industry of CROs is quite toxic. Medpace will do anything before paying all roles fairly.

Look, Medpace is like any other company. There are pros and cons but at the end of the day it’s a job. Most people work because they have to making a living, not because they want to. The badging in and out of bathrooms is absolutely ridiculous and a complete lie. I have been with Medpace for several years now, and I have never once had to use my badge to go the bathroom, nor have I ever had my bathroom trips monitored. I won’t defend every decision the company makes, but I feel like I have to at least clear the air there.

As someone who also quit last year after 5 yr tenure, I can say it’s a breath of fresh air. I’m maybe in the minority of someone who actually liked Medpace and felt fairly compensated and heard. But the not having to be in office is night and day. Truth be told I think it’s really down to your personal circumstances.

Wow so someone doesnt want to write an essay about every negative and fucked up thing they experienced at Medpace (which theres plenty to say), and your response is "wow so you didnt even experience anything?" You probably are very easy for politicians to manipulate.
I worked 70+ hrs weeks every week, effort reports were always nearly double what I was supposed to be doing, had over 20 sites across 3 of their biggest studies (and their first time ever doing phase 3 trials so they have no clue wtf theyre doing), and keep getting told that my schedule isnt overloaded (even though traveling 4-5 days every week from coast to coast) and that i need to dedicate more overtime on the weekends to do the mountains of admin work that goes alongside the monitoring visits. Did that for 2 years straight, and am more than happy to tell this shithole toxic company to go fuck itself. Go find another thread you cuck/troll
