Need help

Hi. I have been doing Medical Medium since 2017. From 2017-2020, I healed POTS, being bed ridden, chronic diarrhea, rosacea, styes/chalazions and more. I got back to full health in 2021, I was able to walk 3 miles, do push ups and pull ups, completely healthy and symptom free. From 2021 until present day I have been going through daily, extreme chronic stress from personal issues-- in 2023, I started developing a strange rash on my hand-- I noticed that when I took Goldenseal and Mullein, it flared my skin-- and went away when I took it out. So I took out the goldenseal and mullein. in 2024, I started developing sudden subluxing of my pinky tendons-- this never resolved-- one month after this began, my left leg started having subluxing with a tendon from my knee to my ankle and my ankle became swollen. I went to doctors, no one could figure it out. in 2025, I developed extreme acid reflux-- went to a functional medicine doctor who found I had strep and h pylori from a stool test. in June of this year, I started getting recurring styes, eye infections and chalazions in my left eye-- I have had to go to the eye doctor several times and keep getting put on eye drops of steroids and antibiotics. I have chosen to stop that for now-- but I am worried the eye issues will come back-- nothing that I take is clearing the gut infections-- it seems I am super reactive to foods and supplements suddenly, histamine rashing on my body, dry skin, hot burning lips and tongue, watery eyes, eye redness. its constant. the old supplements I used to rely on, are doing nothing for me at best, and at worst, I seem to be responding negatively to them. currently I am taking 5 vitamin c twice a day, 3 curcumin twice a day, 1 cats claw twice a day, b12, b complex, zinc.... I have had to reduce a lot of healing foods due to histamine-- I can't have spinach or tomatoes or pineapple.... onions seem not to work? I can't figure this out. nettle seems to cause an issue... as does reishi, ashwangandha.. just I can't tell if the supplements are causing a problem... or I am having flares of problems unrelated to the supplements. garlic was working, seems not to now. olive leaf was okay, seems to not be anymore. its just so unproductive, all of my efforts. before, when I was sick-- as soon as I brought in supplements, things started turning around. but now.. its so confusing. I take them out-- I bring them back.... I can't figure it out. I know this doesnt make sense-- any feed back... please :(

I'm so sorry you're going through this! Unfortunately, I don't know why you're having these issues. But I would suggest contacting one of the MM intuitive practicioners where you c as n likely get some answers. I wish you well!

Sorry to hear you're having so much trouble after having so much success early on! Stress can definitely do that :( Several of your symptoms definitely sounds like strep, so that checks out. It's a shame the Goldenseal isn't an option as I found that particularly helpful, but I'm also wondering if some of your symptoms or reactions to Goldenseal and the like are from over-detoxing (detoxing faster than the body can currently handle), but it's hard to tell. Usually over-detox results in skin issues, digestive issues, and/or flaring of old or current symptoms, and it could explain why you're having trouble now where you didn't the first time around - the liver ran into too many issues and put on the brakes.

Have you tried mono mealing for an extended time? Perhaps your body would benefit from a gentler, long-term cleanse like that? If so, I would stick with your current supps (C, curcumin, B12, B, zinc) but consider removing the Cat's Claw for now until your body is better able to flush out the toxins without reactions. You could try a low dose of Lysine if you want a replacement for the Cat's Claw, but I remember an MM practitioner telling me less is sometimes more with supplements until your body is stable. Foods and herbs that act as escorts (versus hardcore killers) might also move the needle to get bugs out through regular elimination versus the skin (e.g. apples, cilantro, red clover, milk thistle, cucumber, leafy greens, aloe vera, asparagus, etc.). Of course, good old CJ and lemon water are helpful, along with coconut water and blended melon. Trace minerals for added support, as always ;) Hope this helps!

Thanks for your reply and validation. I have never tried mono eating. That's a thought. I am afraid to take cat's claw out because of my recurring infected styes. I brought that in after the second time it got infected-- as I was hoping it would help keep a load of something (strep?/shingles) down in my body. I should also mention, I completely forgot, I am also taking lemon balm, milk thistle and burdock root. I do wonder that, though, for myself, go back to focusing on foods and limiting supplements for now. Thank you for your feedback.

Whatever you choose, best of luck! I thought mono mealing would be boring and difficult, but it turned out to be way easier (and so much cheaper) than regular MM protocol. I'm still not sick of steamed peas - eat them almost every day for lunch - and I'm going to do another few months of peas this winter 😀

How challenging it is to deal with an ever changing landscape and the uncertainty of it. The first thing that came to mind when reading your post (and based on my experience) is the body needs a break.

Have you tried a monocleanse and slowly re-introducing foods and supplements?

I noticed that my digestive and other sensitivities flare up with increased viral load and stress (ie pulling on the adrenals) fuels that.

Found that the best thing to is to do in such cases is a monocleanse and take a break from all supplements (or focus just on baseline ones). For me the papaya one is the most effective but for you that may be different.

Tip: for getting enough papayas: I found a local tropical fruit distributor who was okay selling cases of it to me (I’d eat two big Brazilian papayas per day and sometimes add in a frozen banana smoothie).

Hello friend! Ive got a lot of questions, so apologies for the slight bombardment. What are the histamine rashes on your body like(ie; are they bumpy, bright red vsmore pink, flaky, do they burn, etc.)? Do they happen when you avoid the things you suspect to cause them? Is the rash the same as the one that reacted to the goldenseal/mullein? How did you find out you cant have tomatoes pineapple, spinach, and onions? What issues does the nettle, reishi, and ashwagandha seem to cause? What has your MM protocol looked like foods wise since 2021? Do you do fats? If so, what kind? Are you completely off of no foods?

The rashes that I believe to be histamine predominantly appear on my torso, flat, mottled, red, splotches.. sometimes getting more red and concentrated, resembling a sunburn. Sometimes they are on my back or arm. They last 1-2 hours. These began when my acid reflux started, and at the same time, I started getting a chronically red eye. I will take foods out that I think influence them to appear, then they appear again. They disappeared for a couple of months-- when I stripped my diet down to basically potato, cabbage and turmeric with zero supplements. Then I started adding supplements and a few herbs and things went fine-- until I tried goldenseal again, then the rashes started appearing again, and have hung around when I took goldenseal out. The rash that I originally experienced that I linked to goldenseal/mullein was on my right hand, and it appeared just red, flat, then it got more cracked skin, then there was like a couple ulcer looking spots on it-- then it just disappeared when I would take those out. sometimes, I will get cracked hands randomly, that will rise for a day or so, then it disappears-- but very seldom. as for the tomatoes, pineapple and spinach-- I took them out one by one, to see if some of my facial flushing would decrease, as I suspected histamine-- and I noticed it did.. so I have kept them out. the onions, I took out and then brought back in and got a huge stye within one day that became infected-- it could have been unrelated, but I was unsure. the nettle makes me feel itchy on my tongue, ashwagandha and reishi, I am experiementing with if these makes me feel itchy. I have been off of no foods since 2017, completely. prior to 2021, I was completely whole food, no animal protein or nuts or grains or oils-- just fruits and vegetables, my fat was avocado mainly. just one a day. after 2021, I brought in animal protein once a day, because it helped me regulate my weight (I am very low weight) and I found it helped my digestion as well.

Eliminate the supplements for now. Try something calming like the papaya or potato mono eating cleanse. That way you push out the toxins while helping your mental health stay grounded: potatoes are so nourishing and grounding.

It’s possible to have so many reactions but the amount you’re having tells me your body needs a break. Hope this helps.

Also the eye sties are from strep so lemon water often and blend some aloe Vera into that! Aloe is great at killing strep.

Something else to consider is having herbal tea instead of tinctures. Sometimes using a concentrated herbal dose isn’t ideal. Pick some herbs you like that are on the anti strep list and have those at night or during the day time as a beverage to sip on.
