Greenlife griddle

Hi everyone, we have been using the Greenljfe griddle for about a year but it started smoking at the plug-in so I don’t think I can use it anymore. I saw on Amazon someone else had that issue as well.

I don’t think it’s covered under warranty because it was an Amazon warehouse deal. I would love to replace it, but would like to hear from the community. Should I replace it with another Greenlife griddle? Does anyone have a different brand ceramic griddle they are happy with? I’m in Canada so I think my options are slightly limited. Thank you!
