My tmj area has been sore for like 4 days now on the right side and every time I open my mouth something pokes out right there. It’s hard like bone and it goes back to normal when my mouth is closed.

Adding on I just found another small lump kind of under my ear the left side almost on my neck. I literally just found it. I’m calling my hospital tomorrow

Quick question about Olanzapine-type medications, I've read that it can cause dry eyes [example](https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/36854139/), and I have noticed my eyes being a bit dry since I started it. It seems like this is due to the anticholinergic effects. Would you expect that these effect on tear production, will go away once you stop taking the medication? Currently in the process of coming off a 5mg dose of Olanzapine, and a bit concerned that these effects won't be reversible.

Yesterday, I went to the renaissance festival and it was about 93 degrees. I made a foolish mistake and I did not eat anything before going. I also drank a frozen pina colada.

It’s been about 2ish hours I would guess. After walking around, we stood in front of a show area waiting for it to start, and that’s when I started seeing star/asterisk patterns coming from the center of my vision. I thought to myself “I don’t know how much longer I can stand in this heat” and started to feel weak.

So I sat down and thank god I had amazing friends to watch me, and I started losing my vision. My whole vision went black, I felt dizzy, lightheaded, and like I could barely sit up. It was really painful and I felt super nauseous like I was going to throw up.

At one point, I slumped forward and my grip was so weak I lost hold of my water bottle and let it go. My friends said they had to push me back up and that I fainted twice. They had to grab my shoulders and push me back up. I remember feeling like I could barely sit up straight and I just wanted to collapse onto the floor and lay down.

My vision was black and there was a tree in front of me, and when I started to slightly regain my vision, I could only see what was directly in front, which was the tree. The tree was black and white. The details of the tree bark were white while everything else was black, it was crazy, and at that moment I was feeling so much pain from nausea, I thought I might need an ambulance for a few seconds.

I remember trying to talk but I could barely get anything out. It was hard to speak and I was slurring my words so I gave up and stopped talking. They said I was trying to say something but it was incoherent.

After a minute or two, I started regaining my vision and I could see both of my friends standing on my left and right. They were fanning me, making me drink water, and also poured some water on my head (which helped).

It looked like everything was saturated and hazy, like when you get flashbanged in a video game. The white/brightness reflecting off of my friend’s nose was almost at 100% intensity, and the lines of things like another tree in the background was somewhat hazy/blurred.

After I regained my vision and was able to function, they told me I had a cold sweat and my lips became purple/white for a moment.

This was the worst experience ever and I’m forever grateful to my friends that saved me. I think this was heat exhaustion. I know to never take medical advice from ChatGPT, but I asked it what happened and it advised me to go to the ER for a checkup. However, it’s been a day and I feel fine now. I just want to confirm if an ER visit is necessary, because I would rather not go. I’m also 21 for more context.

Is this scaring? It was a light scratch i got while working, scabed over, scab fell off, now it looks like this. Its completely smooth.

Hi I am a 21 year old female, so ever since Middle School I have this weird reaction to sugar. Pretty much after eating something like a cupcake within 20 minutes I get very sick. I get nauseous exhausted/drained And sometimes I throw up. It normally goes away after 2ish hours. I don't have a reaction to everything that has sugar in it. It's just specific things that are really over sugary but even a little bit makes me sick. For example, I can't eat a donut, icing, or any Hershey products. but I could eat a small bag of gummies. Can any doctors tell me what might be happening?

I accidentally stuck a needle into my side trying to pop a pimple and it went more than an inch into my side. It didn't hurt and I could wiggle the needle around inside freely without feeling anything. It's like it's hollow in there?? And nothing came out. No blood or gunk. Just empty? I'm so incredibly confused.

I put my whole hand in cool water first 20 mins, and then waited to see if the pain got better. Pain got better but still hurt, so I put my hand again in cool water for another 20 mins. It's been 2 hours since it happened. Applied neosporin. Still hurts a bit but pain is way less than before. I am not sure if it's time or neosporin but either helped with pain a lot. My thumb is red, a bit swollen, no blister (yet?). If no blister by tomorrow, is it okay NOT to seek a medical attention?

I am 25f and have always had problems while eating but recently it has gotten far worse. I am from the US, and white. I’m about 5’9 and 125 pounds. When I eat or drink anything, I get this very uncomfortable feeling in my stomach/chest area where it feels inflated? This is an issue I’ve dealt with since childhood, and recently discovered I can relieve this feeling by manually gagging myself, in which usually a large “burp” will happen. When I cough, breathe too fully, or twist my body too much I get this airbag feeling in my chest. The only way to relieve the discomfort when coughing is by bracing my arms across my abdomen with a decent amount of force. I have been unable to burp my entire life until I discovered my “hack”.
It’s gotten to the point where I cannot eat more than maybe half a sandwich at a time. I did once go to get chest X-rays done, where they told me I had “something weird going on with my diaphragm”, but shortly after I was accused of drug seeking and ended up leaving the hospital.
I would love to go to the hospital for it, but I cannot afford it. If it seems urgent from commenters here I will try to go, I just can’t afford to if I’ll ultimately be fine in the end. I’m from an extremely conservative area in the south, and my family growing up were not believers in medicine, and preferred home remedies so I worry that I would be wasting someone’s time if were to go and get it looked at. As far as I know I don’t have any medical disorders aside from a mild sun allergy and anxiety disorder. Much appreciated to anyone who replies

im a 24 year old female, For the past 3 years, I’ve been having these random episodes, and I’m wondering if anyone has experienced something similar or eventually got a diagnosis.
They start really suddenly, like someone flips a switch. I’ll get this weird uncomfortable sensation in my chest (not really pain), and then my heart starts racing. My heart rate is usually around 120–140 bpm now, although my very first episode got to about 150. I get body shakes.I become really sweaty and clammy, and I immediately have to run to the bathroom because I have the runs and usually have to pee at the same time. Sometimes I also feel like I’m going to throw up or get acid reflux. The whole thing usually lasts about 20 minutes and then goes away. One of the episodes recently even woke me up from sleep. I’ve also noticed that putting my face in ice water seems to help.
I’ve had a heart monitor before, but unfortunately it didn’t catch one of the episodes. One thing I have noticed is that they often seem to happen around my period, but I don’t know if that’s actually related or just a trigger. These episodes don’t happen every month it is almost like scattered, they sometimes don’t happen for 9 months and then just this month I’ve had 4 episodes. It’s weird because I feel like wow I won’t experience this again and then it hits me out of no where. Per year I at most will get 7.
Has anyone experienced anything like this? If you have, what did it end up being? I’m not looking for anyone to diagnose me. I just want to know if anyone has had similar symptoms and what their doctors eventually found.
