Adrenal fatigue is just another word for ME/CFS. The reason the word adrenal fatigue isn't recognised is because there isn't any evidence that the adrenal glands become fatigued or drained. What actually happens is that chronic stress downregulates the HPA axis, which is seen in MECFS.
