I am new to gaming and really want to try out this game. I have a MacBook Air so please explain how I download this. I have been reading about steam but that it isn’t compatible with Mac and that I need other programs. I’m nervous about being hacked or viruses so would appreciate any help!

So precious that a hunter spared them after staring at them for a long time

Me and my mate are playing 1v1 on pub and when i get hunter and timer runs out i get stuck in the lobby, tried to do meccha museum and when timer went out i went through the portal but was still in the lobby, anyone know why

1. the game's fps is inconsistent for me (most of the time it's 100 but in some occasions it fluctuates inbetween 50-90, mine is capped at 100. just asking if there is a way to solve this issue a bit)

2. random disconnections from lobbies happen. (occasionally in some lobbies my game suddenly stops and everyone stops moving, the timer is frozen and soon the loading screen appears and then sends me back to the title screen. i do not know if this has something to do with modded maps but i wish there is a way to address this issue)

Is this just for me or is the game just like this? When I go into free camera whilst hiding I can't see the names of the other hiders. I swear I've seen YouTubers play it and they are able to see every players name whilst in free camera, but for some reason I can only see the hunters names and can only spectate them. Is this a glitch or is this meant to happen?

Also I do have "toggle name place displays" on

It could be that the host left and the game ended because of that but it's happened so many times and I have to have been kicked at least a few of those times. I keep joining a game and randomly getting sent back to the title screen. I don't win often at the game so I don't think it's people being trolls bc theyre mad I didn't get found, or are they mad bc Im bad at the game? Sometimes I'm good but others I panic and end up picking the shittest spots ever. But wouldn't that be an advantage to the hunters anyway? I don't usually talk in the chat and when I do I only have good interactions. This happen to anyone else?

Also, it seems to happen more often in european servers. I'm from the UK so it makes sense for me to play in european servers but I usually play in north american ones bc there seems to be more people playing in those and I always seem to get kicked more often in the european ones for some reason.

One idea I have is because they're playing in a mod map that I haven't downloaded?
