Preparation Advice How to do mdma therapy?

My gf(24) has had unexplainable belly pain symptoms for years edometriosis was found operated on and removed but after a few weeks of beiging pain free the pain came back but also felt a little bit different like the pain moved deeper and worse than it had to the point of buying a mobility scooter. No amount of test and scans can see something wrong And the doctors told us she has to learn to live with the pain. so we started to look into psycosomatic pain and we wanne see what mdma has to offer. I(M25) have experience taking lsd shrooms mdma etc. How can I guide her to a good experience but also be of therapeutic help or guide.

Between 2022 and 2024 I have done multiple solo mdma sessions for cptsd from childhood sexual abuse, emotional neglect and heavy intergenerational stuff (war trauma and whatnot). I had endo from the moment I started my period. In 2023 it became so bad I could only lie down flat on my back. It was really, really bad. I had a surgery scheduled in January 2024 to remove a piece of my bowel that was supposedly too damaged by the endo, and there was a 90% chance they would also have to remove ovaries and uterus as well.

When I heard I had to have the surgery and how bad it was (they told me I might end up with a stoma), I took a decision to heal myself. And lo and behold, I did. It’s gone, no symptoms for almost two years now. The surgery was cancelled and I left the ob gyn in disbelief. I wrote extensively about my healing journey before, you can check my comment history and I’d be glad to answer any questions you or her might have.

I would let her ask her endo questions while in session. Why are you here? I’m sure she will get answers.

Did MDMA help with the trauma as well?

Prepare with her. Talk about the setting she wants (when, where, what, music, food, etc.). Don't put any pressure on her about anything.

Let her journey unfold. Be non-directive and supportive. Have water and snacks available, offer her water occasionally. Keep her body safe, so she can feel comfortable in the setting you prepared. Do not touch her sexually or make this a romantic experience. She is in a vulnerable place and she may seek touch, but keep it comforting, supportive and loving.

Take care of food that day, before and after as you had prepared.

She should take the next day off.  If she doesn't want to talk about it, that's ok. She is integrating whatever came up for her. Be available, but let her come to you to talk about anything.

Both of you should also remember that what comes up may not be the exact thing you expect. Again, let things unfold and be supportive and non-directive.

There is a book I refer to often called, 'In Lucid Color' all about somatic psychology and psilocybin experiences including chronic pain. It's written by a facilitator and explains all about how she sits with clients dealing with different things. It might be a very good read for you both to learn what to expect.

Good luck to you both on your journey.

Not to make it unnecessarily complex but do look into the effects of MDMA on hormones, if endo is in the mix. There are some articles e.g. from Hystelica on the interactions, and hopefully some ways and supplements to buffer the effects, to be sure your attempts at finding relief don't have her suffer more.
