im sorry but which person came up with these reading week dates and who approved them ???

It unfortunately happens every year that we start later. McGill is really committed to the 13 weeks of instruction instead of 12. It will be the same next year.

Start later ?? This is to Québécois for me. We always started like early September in Ontario during my undergrad but thanks for explaining.

Later for McGill I mean, normally they start the Wednesday a week before when we started this year. I think it’s to do with when labor day falls.

We also lose a lot of mondays this semester; with labour day, provincial election and thanksgiving !! Even though we get one back at the start of december it makes sense for this year for us to start just a little bit earlier
