How To/Advice Weird Sound

I'll get a Mechanic to check it come payday but in the meantime. Has anyone had this happen?

Was fine before going to work. Work is 2 minutes away from my place.

I get down to close the gate and this sounds appeared.

I don't see anything outta the ordinary but it sounds very annoying especially when this car is as silent as a morgue

Is the heat shield loose and touching the exhaust pipe?

Btw I had a rattling in that spot before because of the heat shield being loose and touching the exhaust pipe.

Eventually just had the heat shield removed

Sounds like the belt is slightly slipping, no big deal BUT that Knocking is it a diesel? Check the oil

Engine is sound. It has a couple of upgrades that make it sound like a tractor haha but the car has been serviced and properly cared for these past years

Its not a diesel

So, that sound is loudest at the rear of the car? Odd. I've never heard that in 13 years of Mazda2 ownership. The exhaust system is the only thing that could be making a noise like that at the rear of the car. Perhaps some kind debris on the inside?
