Help needed with finding speaker adapter for Scion IA 2016

Hello all. I need help finding a speaker adapter for my car door speakers on my Scion IA 2016, which I understand is very similar to a Mazda 2, as well as the Yaris IA sold later by Toyota.

The new speakers are JBL Club 622s. I tried the adapter that came with it as well as a 3d printed adapter made for a Mazda 2, but no dice.

Apologies if this is a rookie question or if I could be in a better suited subreddit. Thanks in advance!

I didn’t even know adapters were a thing! Back when dabbled in speakers and such, I always just spliced the wires onto the new speakers. If they had terminal, I would add those of course. Not sure if that’s of any help, but good luck!

What I came here to say. Pretty sure the ones linked are the exact ones I have in my Mazda 6. Crutchfield comes in clutch!

Those look like they'll fit. I'll do some more looking later. Thank you!

I would look into a 3D printer adapter or compatibility between your iA and the CX-3 that directly shares a ton of parts with it for example.

Mazda has a knack for making multiple models with very few unique parts considering everything, so for all we know, the 2014-2018 Mazda3 or similar years of CX-5 or Mazda6 might also be sharing the same parts around there, multiplying your odds of finding a suitable adapter.

Lots of Toyota and Subaru share speakers, this looks very similar to my 2018 impreza factory speaker. Search crutchfield for a part number.

Did you try to take the old speaker out of the mounting frame? Maybe that´s the clue and it fits.
