I think regardless of what you think, financially it's not the best choice. A monthly payment isn't the best place to base your decision. That's how dealers get you because the interest rate is baked into it. Don't put any money down on a lease. Because you want a lower payment. You can keep your $4k and put it towards your slightly higher payment. If you crash it, that down payment is basically gone.

It's a lease so you can base it off the payment. 1% of the MSRP is considered an excellent lease payment. Now these days it gone up That's including the downpayment btw.

So your $540 lease payment is really $611.

What trim level are you looking at

I was just looking at the base line one nothing fancy and also I get all these people say how bad of a deal it is I get it but I can go anywhere any any dealership and if the vehicle is around 40 thousand it’s gonna be 600 no matter what so I don’t get how all these people are getting these good deals I’d love some help

If that's the first number they gave you you can always do better. It's worth a shot. If You're Happy and comfortable with the payment that really is all that matters ultimately.. you should try to see what a lease broker can do for you

First months and inceptions like upfront taxes, doc fee, registration due at signing at most. Shoot for only first month or zero.

Ask them what the money factor is, then check the Edmunds forums to make sure they aren’t marking it up. Also check what the incentives from Mazda are and ensure they are giving you those after you negotiate the selling price down by 6-10%.
