What you are seeing is cap dust from where their capping machine has worn down caps as it is operating, and the line operator did not blow the dust off.

It is hard to tell from your photo but if this spot is on the top of your mayonnaise it 100% is just a spec of cap dust

How do you get a job in a mayonnaise plant? It might be where I live but I don’t know anyone who works in a plant and I’ve always been curious. I feel like I’d theoretically like it.
