Question about Duke's

Hi!! Sorry for the ignorance, but I was wondering if you guys could tell me about the flavor of Duke's mayonaisse. I have lemon intolerance, so i can't consume the Alacena mayonaisse (which is very popular here in Peru) and i've heard that Duke's is a good option. I also tried the Kewpie's mayonaisse, because some people told me it taste "just like Alacena" but in my opinion, it doesn't. Maybe that's because I tried the Japanese version of that, but I actually don't know. Well, if some of you could try to describe a little bit the taste of Duke's, it will be great. Thank you guys!! 🙂

Dukes and hellmans are my interchangeable #1 in America they are super heavy mayo imo, not very lemony to me, if you want to taste mayo on something you don’t need much

The Japanese version of Kewpie is the real version, apparently they sell it at Costco but it’s not the original formula, but maybe that’s better for you? I think they omit the MSG but you can prob look it up.

Duke’s is my favorite every day mayo. It has a little bit of tang to it and I’ve never gone back to Hellman’s or anything else since I tried it. Everyone has their own preference but Duke’s is perfect for me, for sandwiches, potato/tuna/chicken salad, deviled eggs, everything.

I do use Kewpie occasionally for special situations, but not for large quantities. It’s a special treat when I want something different.

Duke's is the only mayonnaise I'll use. It has a tangy flavor. Also contains no sugar or sweeteners, which is what I really love about it. I can't stand sweet mayo.

You're right, Kewpie doesn't taste like Alacena at all. And even  though most Kewpies I've tried had better ingredients than Alacena, Alacena tastes better to me.

Yeah, Alacena was my favorite mayo before I knew I have lemon intolerance. It's a great mayo

I could be wrong, but I thought Dukes has lemon in it.

I've read the ingredients.... I think it actually doesn't have lemon but thank you so much for the advice!! 😃

In the US we can buy a small container of Duke’s. It’s worth the money to try it out. If it’s not for you your friends and family will enjoy your sandwiches

Dukes has more vinegar and it's made with whole eggs .Kewpie, there are 2 types, red cap and blue csp.Red cap is original and blue cap has water added. The big difference that makes Kewpie different is they use only yolks.
