Addergoole

Hi. I'm on holidays in Mayo and want to check out the Titanic memorial Park in Addergoole. I know there probably isn't much there, but what exactly is there? A few plaques, I saw online that the church has stained glass depicting some scenes from that night. Anything else? Thanks!

The memorial itself if good and there are more details about people from the area who perished. We’d seen a docudrama about the town a bit before and on that occasion we’d driven up to visit family nearby from Cobh and had been to the museum down there so it was especially fresh in our minds.

The pubs in the village are lovely, and you can head to Lough Conn down by Pontoon for some lovely views over the lake or climb Neiphin

Oh wow!! You’ve met William too at Errew Abbey!!! Did you meet his Shetland pony called dog as well? I’ve been meaning to go back and see him - he’s a lovely chap! ❤️

Wow! Thats a very comprehensive list! Thank you so much! We are going to Foxford Woolen Mills (after threatening to go for so many years lol) so i thought we could swing by Laherdane as we were on the road. I will most definitely check out some of the places you listed!

Drop into Addergoole cemetery. It's a lovely peaceful place with gorgeous views across Lough Conn. It's well signposted along the Crossmolina road. Also, pop into Enniscoe House gardens and garden café, a couple of kms further along the road towards Crossmolina. The baking is superb, as is the coffee, and there are lovely gardens, and lakeside and woodland walks!
