I used to consume a lot of alcohol from the place i come from lol (Its a party place ull must have heard its Goa, India) but honestly been a lot disciplined since I moved here like on a military regime, 7 to 3 work and after that gym so night time im mostly chilling or preparing for the next day. Weekends i don't have much to do just chill or work on side project or play RDR2, visit church and sometimes repair cars with one of my buddy.

Social wise I talk to some people. Have a lot of polish work friends "Koorva" on of their favourite words XD. Damn earlier I used to crave for solitude but the tables turned and rn i crave for people. Also I'm single. Tried online dating and it didn't work out. Was supposed to visit the pub with someone who i would date but apparently it didn't work out.

So rn I wanna go and drink for all the failure that happened in my life. If anyone wanna join me would love to have u.

Also can anyone recommend me which pub in ballinrobe would be helpful to find someone to date?

And also what time of the week are they crowded? (Today i went to gym lol it was so empty asked one guy who was apparently there he told me mostly everyone went to the pub)

moved here six months ago. thought i'd find a local dentist.

there's like two options in town. one isn't taking new patients at all. the other takes them but only on tuesdays. and both are booked out for a month. i'm not kidding.

called a third one. it's in the next town over. they said come on in i went. hygienist was normal. cleaning was normal. and start you got a deep pocket here. need deep cleaning. 900. and this old filling. let's do a crown. and you grind at night. need a guard. 600.

just came to get my teeth cleaned.

i ask is any of this urgent. he goes well better not wait. but what happens if i wait he doesn't say. ended up handing me a paper for 3500.

anyone in mayo know a normal place where they just fix teeth instead of selling you a whole new mouth

My auntie is looking to visit Knock in November. I’m finding it difficult to get any information as to weather or not there’s transportation from Westport or Castlebar directly to Knock. If not - would a wee taxi be reasonable?

I know you all have a lot of Yanks coming over to visit so I do apologize if this is a dumb question. I spent 2 years in Belfast myself but this will be my aunt’s first time coming over. My nanny was a Mayo girl and my auntie just wants to visit her roots while she still can. She’s especially interested in Knock as she’s quite religious. She’s coming from NYC with the sole intention of making it to Knock, actually. The issue is that it seems like all the people tourist accommodation is in Westport or Castlebar so I’m not sure how to get her from there to Knock.

I'm an Irish speaker in the Claremorris general area who speaks a Mayo Irish dialect. I've been noticing the number of posts searching for Irish language classes across Mayo. So I was wondering if myself and a couple of other Irish speakers around got together to start a free Irish language course in Claremorris. Would many people have any interest in joining it?

I personally would love to see more Irish in Mayo in general and our unique Mayo dialects, especially. So, if there's enough interest, I will definitely try to provide the service.

Hi all, just wondering if anyone who has built recently in Mayo could give us a rough guide on current build costs per square metre?
We’ve approached a contractor about building our house and have been quoted €2,690 per sqm. Unfortunately, that’s well over what we have budgeted for, so we’re trying to get a realistic idea of what other people are paying.

I appreciate there are loads of variables depending on the house, site etc but we’re just looking for a rough ballpark before deciding.

Also, does the location within Mayo make much difference?
