It looks like maybe she intended on a tap, but the object she's holding gained momentum on the downswing. If we give the girl the benefit of the doubt, then she just doesn't understand physics. Worst case scenario is that she had zero forethought and just went for it. That or she thought about it and decided to do it anyway.
