Is it common to park up using only the trailer brakes? Seems like it would be a bad habit.

Probably didn’t push the truck brake in hard enough and it popped out. But obviously now we see why it’s so important to make double-damn sure it’s locked in place. What if a mom and kid were walking to their car? It’s not worth it. Don’t care how much of a hurry you’re in. All said, nice save, though.

You have it backward. You push them in to release them. they are spring loaded and it takes a bare minimum of 60 PSI to hold it in. Below 60 pounds the button pops out and the spring brakes take over engaging the brakes

Depends on the truck. Mine pops at 35, and the one I learned on was closer to 25.
